Matt Melzak is the play-by-play voice of the Toledo Mud Hens and the Toledo Walleye. Matt has been the voice of the Toledo Walleye since its inception in 2009 and took over as the play-by-play voice of the Toledo Mud Hens in 2025. He started his broadcast career in 2003 with the Toledo Storm and broadcasted over 1,500 professional hockey games including four All-Star games. Since joining the Toledo Mud Hens broadcast, Matt has been on the call for over 800 baseball games.
Grant Hosler is the Director of Education at Graphic Media Alliance, a nonprofit serving the print industry in Ohio, Michigan and northern Kentucky. A 2019 Media Production graduate from Bowling Green State University, he began his career creating commercial content at Evergreen Creative before joining NBC4i in Columbus as a news editor and camera operator during the pandemic. He later transitioned to the nonprofit world, where he now helps students find scholarships, career paths, and a home in the print industry.

Celebrate the end of the semester by stopping by the custom popcorn bar from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25 in the College Hall student lounge to fill up a bag with your own custom sweet and savory mix. There will also be games, music, friendship bracelets and more.
As the semester comes to a close take some time to reflect on your experiences throughout the semester. Come down to the Lounge to enjoy our candy bar to fill up a bag to take home. Enjoy all of the features of the Lounge and make a friendship bracelet, too.
Physical Therapist Assistant students will present their research posters on Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Healthcare Education Center and Math/Science Hallway.
Students will have their research posters displayed on easels throughout the area while giving a brief review of the components of research, including some background information and results. They’ll also have giveaways related to their research.
From 6-8 p.m. that day, the students will present their research in a formal symposium, which is approved by the State of Ohio for continuing education units needed for licensure.
Students worked in teams over eight weeks to complete evidence-based research projects in the field of physical therapy. Teams recruited participants on campus and in the community to participate in their studies.
