The Black Student Union and Owens Department of Sociology will present the work of James Baldwin on Tuesday, March 25, from 12:30-2 p.m. in College Hall 100. The event will feature the personal experiences of Owens professors Dr. Marian J. Moore, a former graduate assistant for Baldwin at Bowling Green State University, and Dr. Steve Culbertson.

Business, Hospitality Management and Public Safety Career Fair @ Heritage Hall 123

The Owens School of Business, Hospitality Management and Public Safety is hosting a Career Fair on Wednesday, March 26, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Heritage Hall 123.

Students and alumni can connect with local employers for full-time jobs or change careers to align with their majors. Students who are undecided, uncertain or looking to gain professional experience through part-time work or an internship are also welcome to attend.

Mini Transfer Fair @ Heritage Hall 123

This event will highlight specialized programs at transfer institutions that support students with autism and other disabilities and promote academic programs that prepare students to work with individuals with autism and related disabilities. Students on the Autism Spectrum or those with other disabilities are invited to attend the Mini Transfer Fair to talk with transfer partners about their services and specialized programs to support students with autism or related disabilities.

In addition, students interested in pursuing a career working with individuals with autism and other disabilities are also invited to attend the Mini Transfer Fair to learn about bachelor’s degree programs in areas such as special education, social work, and allied health.

Stop by the Student Health and Activities Center between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, to get up close and personal with a variety of animals, including skunks, tortoises, snakes, toads, armadillos, tenrecs, lizards, kookaburras, miniature goats and more.
