Does climate anxiety motivate action — or create paralysis? Is individual action enough, or should the focus be on systemic change?
Join students, faculty and staff for a lively debate inspired by “A Field Guide to Climate Anxiety” from 10 a.m.-noon on Thursday, Oct. 8 in College Hall 100 or on this Zoom link. Participants will examine multiple perspectives, challenge assumptions and engage in thoughtful dialogue about some of today’s most important environmental and social questions based on the cases at this link. Come ready to think critically, listen respectfully, ask questions and perhaps even change your mind.

The Accent on the Arts free concert series is excited to announce the lineup for its 2026-27 shows. The shows are designed, booked and brought to life by Music Business Technology students. Since 2014, Jill of All Trades has been providing hands-on experiences to young people in Canada in grades 9-12 to introduce them to the possibilities of a career in skilled trades, including advanced manufacturing and transportation. The day-long event aims to inspire these young people by providing a safe and engaging learning environment through workshops led by industry and college mentors. This collaborative endeavor allows us to send a consistent message to young people, increase college enrollment in trades and apprenticeships, retain skilled trades workers, grow capacity and address diversity.
