Dr. Ben Fry, a behavioral neuroscientist and associate teaching professor at Penn State University and Owens graduate, will share his story during an Owens & Onwards presentation. From dropping out of high school at age 17 and obtaining his GED to graduating from Owens six years later, Dr. Fry will share his journey through academia, with an emphasis on the unique challenges faced by non-traditional and first-generation students. He will discuss how to make the most of your time at Owens and beyond, resources to take advantage of, and how to ask for opportunities instead of waiting on them.
The Title IX Office at Owens will host a monthly series of Title IX Coffee Talks, beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. Each talk will be in a different location and focus on various topics.

Owens will be hosting events to celebrate the Week of the Young Child throughout the week of April 13. A Little Kiddo Art Show will be featured all week in the library, featuring artwork from 11 childcare centers across Toledo.
Join Career and Transfer Services and the School of Business, Hospitality Management and Public Safety for a Career Fair from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15 in Heritage Hall 123. Students and alumni can connect with local employers for full-time employment opportunities within their majors.
