The Owens Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic is hosting a Kids Access to Dental Care Day for children ages 6 months to 18 years old on Tuesday, Feb. 10 in the Healthcare Education Center, Room 100. Appointments are available between 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Dental decay is one of the biggest unmet health needs. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 1 in 4 children aged 2-11 have untreated cavities. The Dental Hygiene Department provides free dental care such as cleanings, x-rays, sealants and fluoride as well as referrals for restorative work.
Limited spots are available and appointments are required.
