As you progress toward your Owens associate degree, the Pathway Portal shows you how each class you complete also puts a bachelor’s degree from Franklin University within reach.
The Pathway Portal increases the benefits of the 3+1 transfer program by keeping you up-to-date on exactly how credits you earn at Owens transfer to Franklin University and what additional courses can be completed at Owens. You’ll see how your completed courses fit in your bachelor’s program of choice alongside the other programs Franklin offers. This program-to-program comparison ensures that you maximize your transfer credits and save time and money toward your bachelor’s degree.

- A special Pathway Portal tuition rate of $298 per credit hour for new students who enroll at Franklin and meet eligibility requirements.
By opting in to the Pathway Portal, you are giving Owens Community College and Franklin University permission to share your academic records for the purpose of credit evaluation, admission and degree completion. Giving consent to allow your academic records to be shared back to Owens Community College is for the sole purpose of considering eligibility for awarding an associate degree via reverse transfer.
Reverse transfer refers to a situation in which students have transferred to Franklin University from Owens Community College without earning an associate degree. By giving consent to participate in reverse transfer, I understand the following actions will be taken on my behalf:
- I give consent for Franklin University to share my academic information, courses and grades with Owens Community College.
- I give consent for Owens Community College to award me my associate degree when all requirements are completed.
- I give consent for Owens Community College to apply completed course work to the requirements of a standard transfer degree instead of my more specialized transfer degree if it best supports my completion.
- I give consent for Owens Community College to share my degree information back to Franklin University to confirm completion.
In the future (after you apply to Franklin), if you do not wish for your information to be shared back to the Owens Community College, you can email the Franklin University Registrar at registrar@franklin.edu to opt-out of the reverse transfer data sharing.
How to Use Pathway Portal
Ready to Opt-In?
Before you can access Franklin University’s Pathway Portal, we must first send them your personal and academic information.
Current Students
If you are interested in transferring to Franklin University and agree to the transfer of your data, follow these steps:
- Log in to Workday. Select the Academics App.
- On the right side, under Academic Records, click Add or Update My Express Program Selection.
- From the drop-down menu:
- Select Program of Study.
- Then select General Studies.
- In the Educational Institution drop-down menu:
- Select Educational Institution.
- Then choose Franklin University.
Alumni
If you are interested in transferring to Franklin University and would like access to the Franklin Pathway Portal, follow these steps:
- Download the required form.
- Sign the form using your handwritten signature.
- Email the completed form to the Owens Transcripts office to authorize the transfer of your data.
Allow up to two business days for processing.
