Liberal Arts Internships and Professional Development
For Students
The School of Liberal Arts (SLA) is devoted to making sure that all students succeed, both in and out of the classroom.
Internships with area employers provide students with valuable learning experiences directly applicable to their educational and career goals. Students have the opportunity to apply classroom skills while gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in the working world.
SLA internships are temporary, semester-long positions, usually without pay. Students earn two college credits toward their degree and typically participate after completing three semesters of coursework. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.

SLA internships connect participating employers with highly productive, career-motivated students who are interested in a specific profession. These internships give students valuable on-the-job experience while they are attending college and provide employers with an opportunity to support the development of future professionals.
