Four Students Recognized for Achievements by Owens Board of Trustees
Accepted into the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Foundation Emerging Leaders program, Candace was one of only 10 sonography students chosen nationwide to participate in this leadership program. Participants take part in leadership opportunities and projects related to their future career and leadership volunteerism.
Owens Graduate Selected for Emerging Leaders Program, Receives Grant to Offset Costs
Candy went on to be selected as the grant recipient for this program, which funded her attendance to the SDMS Annual Conference in Denver, CO. She was invited to be a part of the SDMS Foundation Board of Directors meetings and Liaison Meeting at this event.

Megan O’Brien enrolled in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Technology with a goal of setting herself up for success in the future. As a spring 2025 graduate from Owens Community College and the program’s outstanding graduate, O’Brien achieved that.
