Owens Community College has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1976. Owens is accredited to award more than 100 associate degrees and certificates in business, information, public service, health and STEM fields.

Complaints

Information about filing student complaints can be found at the Higher Learning Commission’s website and at the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s website. Be advised that these institutions may require the student to exercise any appeal procedures at the College prior to accepting a complaint.

Professional Licensure

Owens Community College offers a number of associate degree programs and certificates that lead to a professional license and or certification in the State of Ohio. These programs, however, may not meet the requirements in states outside Ohio.
