What You Need To Be an Honors Scholar

The Honors Program at Owens Community College is open to students enrolled full-time or part-time in any academic program. To qualify, all you need is a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

There’s no cost to apply or participate in the Honors Program.

Honors Program Requirements

To graduate as an Honors Scholar, you’ll complete 15 points from the following areas:

At the time of graduation, you’ll need a GPA of 3.5 or higher and an A or B grade in all your honors courses and contracts.

Earning Honors Credit Only

You can earn honors credits even if you don’t complete the full program curriculum. The credits for your honors courses will be noted in your transcript if you earned an A or B for the semester. However, your transcript will NOT list you as an Honors Program Graduate.

Transfer to honors programs at Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan or the University of Toledo!
