Board Members
The Owens Community College Board of Trustees is a nine-member board appointed by the Governor of Ohio for six-year terms.
Michael B. Bridenbaker
Board Chair, appointed October 2023
A graduate of Hillsdale College with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance, he is the Business Unit Controller for Light Vehicle Drive Systems at Dana Incorporated. He has been employed by Dana Incorporated for 25 years, providing expertise in working capital management; long-range and annual operating plan development, auditing, forecasting, strategic acquisition, internal controls, cash flow and process improvement.
Mary Beth Hammond
Vice Chair, appointed December 2013
A graduate of the University of Northwestern Ohio, she retired from Fifth Third Bank in Findlay as a Senior Private Banker and Vice President. She has more than 30 years of financial experience. She supports multiple non-profit organizations, is a past president of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce, and a graduate of The Jo Ann Davidson Ohio Leadership Institute. Additionally, Ms. Hammond was recognized by the Findlay Rotary Club with a “Service Above Self” award in 2022, and she is a past Athena award recipient of Wood and Hancock Counties.
Dr. Srinivas K. Hejeebu
Trustee, appointed December 2013
A graduate of the University of Illinois and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Missouri, he is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toledo and an internist at the Medical Center.
Matthew T. McAlear
Trustee, appointed October 2021
He is the Chief Executive Officer of McAlear Group Incorporated, which includes Service Spring Corporation, Draincables Direct, Innovative Machine and Manufacturing and Mini-Max Storage. He attended Owens Community College and then entered the family company to open the Visalia, California operation. The McAlear Group is a leading advanced manufacturing company with ten locations across the United States.
Travis L. Reiff
Trustee, appointed October 2023
A graduate of Trine University with a bachelor’s degree in technical management, he is the Director of Operations at Rosenboom Machine and Tool in Bowling Green. He is experienced in leading operations for highly engineered manufactured products and is skilled in using lean methodologies to continuously improve key performance indicators.
H. Richard Rowe
Trustee, appointed April 2004
Currently an Investment Representative with Edward Jones Investments in Findlay, he attended Bowling Green State University and holds a Series 7 Securities License and a Life and Health Insurance License.
Rita L. Russell
Trustee, appointed November 2018
A graduate of the University of Toledo, Honors College, with a major in Finance and a minor in Marketing, she is the Portfolio Manager, Team Lead and Senior Vice President at Huntington National Bank in Toledo. She is involved in the community and serves on the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) board for local economic development opportunities.
