How It Works: Your First Year
Phase 1
Fall — Train & Prepare (Classes + Resume Prep)
Phase 2
December — The “Draft” (Interviews & Matching)
Phase 3
Spring — Earn and Learn (Work study begins as you continue your classes.)

- Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET): Design, analyze and improve manufacturing systems.
- Electrical Engineering Technology (EET): Power the future with robotics, automation and controls.
- Welding & Fabrication: Master the art of joining metals for high-tech industrial applications.
- Associate of Technical Studies (ATS): Customize your education by combining specialized manufacturing certificates to fit your exact career goals and employer needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a loan? Do I have to pay it back?
No. The Earn-and-Learn support is grant-funded and does not need to be repaid. Your wages from the employer are yours to keep.
How much will I make?
While wages vary by employer, our partners typically start Earn-and-Learn students between $15 and $22 per hour.
Do I have to find the job myself?
No. As an Earn-and-Learn student, you get exclusive access to our “Industry Onboarding” events and direct interviews with our partner network.
Can I participate if I am already working?
Yes! If you are currently working in a relevant manufacturing role, you may already qualify for grant support. Contact us to verify your eligibility.
