Partner With Owens To Offer College Credit Courses

Owens Community College offers qualified Ohio students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to take nonsectarian college-level courses through the College Credit Plus (CCP) program. Students participating in CCP earn transcripted credit.

Course Delivery Options

Owens Community College offers four course delivery options with the CCP program, in which courses are taught:

  • At your building with your faculty, who have met the Owens Community College and Ohio Board of Regents requirements for teaching college-level courses
  • At your building with Owens Community College faculty
  • At any of the Owens campus or learning center locations
  • Online

Students are eligible to register for many courses offered by Owens in degrees and certificates at any of our locations. This includes online courses.

What We Do for You

Owens will:

  • Assist you in creating the 15- and 30 credit-hour pathways, as required by the program
  • Assist you in identifying a faculty member at your institution who meets the minimum credentialing standards
  • Provide a speaker at your designated CCP informational meeting for parents and students
  • Provide placement testing onsite for your students
  • Assist students in course registration
  • Assign an Owens academic advisor for each student, as well as provide orientation prior to the start of the semester
  • Provide a professional development opportunity for your high school CCP teacher
  • Conduct at least one classroom observation per year for courses taught onsite at your building

What Your School Does for You

As a partner, your school will:

  • Submit official transcripts and all required documents to Owens for admissions
  • Verify students are not enrolled in more than the allowed credit hours per the CCP rules
  • Approve all student schedules to ensure high school graduation requirements are met
  • Comply and provide all documentation to the state regarding student participation
