College Credit Plus Returning Students

After Your First Year of CCP

When you’re ready to enroll in your next year of the Owens College Credit Plus program, you’ll need to complete a few steps before you register for classes.

Check with your high school guidance counselor to make sure you’re still eligible to participate in College Credit Plus.

If you’re continuing in the program, ask your counselor to send Owens a copy of your official high school transcript using the CCP Transcript Upload Form. If you are a homeschool student, your transcript must be completed by your grading authority.

If you’re a homeschool student or attend a private school, ask your parent or guardian to fill out the Parent Signature Form. Scan and email us your completed form.

Courses are open to all Owens students and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Popular classes fill up quickly, so it’s important to schedule your CCP advising appointment early in the registration process. As a CCP student, you cannot register for courses on your own.

Option 1: Taking Classes at Your High School

If you’re planning on taking classes at your high school to earn college credit, you do not need to meet with your CCP academic advisor to schedule your classes. Your high school counselor will handle registering you for your courses.

Option 2: Taking Classes at Owens

If you’re taking classes online with Owens or on an Owens campus, you must contact your CCP academic advisor to register.

If you know exactly what you want to register for, please email your choices to your CCP Advisor. For the Toledo-area and Findlay-area Campus, email Tyler Kish or email Mikenzie Blunt. Be sure to include your OCID or Owens ID number.

If you are unsure which courses to register for, request an appointment with your advisor. You’ll need a photo ID to sign in for your appointment.

Schedule a CCP Advising Appointment

Once you’re registered, take your complete Owens schedule to your high school counselor for approval.

If you’re a homeschool student or attend a private school, submit your State funding letter to College Credit Plus. You do not need to complete this step if you are a public school student.

If you missed the April 1 deadline to apply for funding, you can submit a funding application through the State from September 1 to November 1 at 5 p.m. for the following Spring semester only. Visit College Credit Plus for Nonpublic School Families for more information.
