Jill of All Trades at Owens Community College

Thursday, October 15, 2026

Since 2014, Jill of All Trades has been providing hands-on experiences to young people in Canada in grades 9-12 to introduce them to the possibilities of a career in skilled trades, including advanced manufacturing and transportation.

The day-long event aims to inspire these young people by providing a safe and engaging learning environment through workshops led by industry and college mentors.

Owens Community College was proud to be the first host of Jill of All Trades in the United States in 2023.

By continuing to host this program, Owens wants to help address the skilled trades workforce needs of the future.

This collaborative endeavor allows us to send a consistent message to young people, increase college enrollment in trades and apprenticeships, retain skilled trades workers, grow capacity and address diversity.
