From Studio Sessions to Stadium Sounds
Your journey starts with the essentials—music technology, audio recording and musicianship—while building a solid understanding of the business side of the industry.
As you move into your second semester, you’ll take advanced recording and music technology courses, learn how to make music a profession, and sharpen the critical writing and communication skills essential for this fast-paced field.
In your third semester, you’ll take your creativity to the next level with digital music composition, advanced audio production and an in-depth look at recording history. You’ll also begin building a professional recording portfolio and choose an elective like songwriting or networking technology to customize your expertise.
Your final semester focuses on building real-world experience. You’ll complete a required creative arts or media internship, continue developing your portfolio and gain a competitive edge with courses in financial accounting, entrepreneurial marketing and live sound reinforcement and production.
Along the way, you’ll master industry-standard tools and techniques, including Avid Pro Tools, MIDI technology and Dante networked audio.
Earn Industry Certifications
Through our Learning Partnership with Avid, you’ll become eligible to sit for the official Pro Tools certification exams in Pro Tools User and Audio for Gaming. You can also earn Dante Level 1 and Level 2 certifications for networked audio, opening the door to advanced audio routing for studios and multimedia applications in corporate and large-scale audio-visual scenarios.
