You’ll begin by building essential math and blueprint skills for industrial applications, then progress to using and maintaining the professional tools and equipment that define the trade. Next, you’ll dive into the core areas—piping systems, plumbing construction and fluid power—where you’ll learn both hydraulics and pneumatics through hands-on lab experience. Study safety codes and standards that govern plumbing systems, along with welding processes and low- and high-pressure boiler operations critical to advanced systems.
Upon completion, you can enter the workforce immediately or continue toward an associate degree. All certificate credits transfer seamlessly into Owens’ Building Maintenance Major, AAS program, providing flexible pathways for your career advancement.
