In your first semester, you’ll explore fundamental sociology concepts, including social organization, social processes and group relationships, while learning how sociological theories analyze social issues and human behavior. Simultaneously, you’ll strengthen communication and quantitative skills through composition and statistics courses. Broaden your perspective with humanities electives.
As you progress, you’ll apply sociological concepts to real-world social problems while deepening your analytical and writing abilities. Your studies will expand to include social sciences, arts and humanities and lab science. You’ll also develop global awareness through foreign language study and explore specialized areas like marriage and family sociology.
Complete this program by examining multicultural diversity in the U.S. while having the flexibility to customize your pathway through electives in communication, social sciences and Ohio Transfer Module courses that align with your interests and transfer goals.
