Owens’ Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program, AAS combines the science of MR physics, the art of patient care and the precision of cutting-edge imaging technology and will prepare you for a meaningful healthcare career.

Owens offers the only associate degree MRI program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology in the United States. Through dynamic lab simulations in a fully-functional simulation MRI environment and extensive clinical rotations, you’ll become a highly skilled, nationally certified MRI technologist ready to make a difference in people’s lives every day.

Career Outcomes

Upon graduation, you’ll be eligible to obtain national certification as a Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance (R.T.(MR)) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

With this certification, begin a career as an MRI technologist and use cutting-edge MRI technology to produce diagnostic images that enable physicians to make critical, life-changing medical diagnoses.
