Registered nurses spend their work time at the bedside caring for patients, passing medications, supervising LPNs and STNAs, and may work in a number of other healthcare areas including homecare, doctor’s offices, healthcare informatics and the list goes on.
About the Program
The registered nurse program is designed to help prepare students to provide nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings.
This four-semester program includes land-based classes, interactive lab experiences including the latest technology in nursing simulation, and clinical experiences in a variety of healthcare agencies in Northwest Ohio.
The nursing program at Owens will help you become a well-educated licensed RN with a pivotal role in patients’ collaborative professional caregiving team.
Owens Community College meets the state education requirements for a registered nursing license in the state of Ohio and maintains full approval through the Ohio Board of Nursing and accreditation with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
