Restart your academic career at Owens

Welcome back! We are excited to support your return to Owens Community College.

Over 39 million Americans have attended college but stopped out before earning a degree. Finishing your degree or earning a credential can open doors for you. Whatever your motivation—career, economic well-being, or simply personal satisfaction—your education is one of the best investments you can make.

We understand barriers may exist that make returning to school challenging. The Owens Re-Engagement Office will help you navigate those challenges and assist you in restarting your educational journey for the upcoming semester.

If you have not attended courses in more than two consecutive semesters, you will need to reactivate your student record. Use this checklist to make things easy to track and manage!

To get started, follow the admission process below.

  1. Submit online application. Complete a new admissions application and identify yourself as a returning student.
  2. Reactivate your Ozone account. Your previous password is still active. If necessary, reset your password online. You may also call the IT Help Desk at (567) 661-7120.
  3. Submit Transcripts. If you attended any other college-level institutions since leaving Owens, you will need to submit official transcripts from each college.
  4. Review your academic standing. We strongly encourage you to review your academic standing by checking your registration holds and reviewing your transcript through your student account via Ozone.
  5. The Re-Engagement staff can assist you in reviewing your account and provide you with a plan to help restart your academic journey. Contact the Re-Engagement Office at (567) 661-7777 with questions or to schedule a meeting.
  6. Explore payment options. Visit our Tuition & Fees page for a complete breakdown of tuition and fees for the upcoming semester. If you wish to use federal aid for your tuition, complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Go here for instructions.
  7. To discuss payment options, contact your Student Financial Services Advisor at (567) 661-7777 and schedule an appointment.
