Changing learning environments can be a challenge and your first couple of weeks of the semester are key to academic success. This session focuses on strategies to make the most of our education and crushing it in the classroom.

This session will serve as your comprehensive guide to getting started at Owens, providing essential information on logging in to your Ozone student account, accessing course material through Blackboard and opening your student email account.

We will also show you how to set up Owens alerts so you can be notified of any College closures.

Other topics that will be covered include ordering your books, where to eat on campus and where to relax in between classes.

Our knowledgeable staff will also talk about computer labs on campus and where to get your student ID.

We are also happy to answer all of your questions and help you navigate the enrollment and registration process with confidence.

This session for students and parents will provide an overview of the FAFSA form and guidance on navigating college financing, including scholarships, loans and employment opportunities.

Assistant Director of Student Financial Services Betty Elliott will share tips for making informed decisions, and attendees can receive FAFSA support before or after the session.

Students in pre-health programs will have the opportunity to learn more about applying for admission to their program, selective requirements, due dates, and deadlines. We hope to answer any questions you have about getting into selective programs such as nursing, dental hygiene, sonography, and more.
