Evidence of Financial Support
There are several ways to meet the financial requirements for admission.
- Financial Certification Form and bank statements providing evidence of financial support of $22,500 for each of the two years
- Financial Certification Form and bank statements providing evidence of one year of support ($22,500) with documentation showing that support will be attainable in future years, such as letters of salary/employment, investments, tax returns, etc.
- Government Scholarship Financial Guarantee
Proof of English Proficiency
You can satisfy the English language requirement by submitting official scores at or aboveĀ one of the following minimum scores:
- TOEFL internet-based: 71
- IELTS overall band: 6.0
- PTE (Pearson Test of English) Academic overall score: 48
- Duolingo English Test: 100
- Cambridge English: 170 (B2 First on CEFR with an overall score of 170)
- Owens Community CollegeĀ ACCUPLACER Placement Test
There may be other options available to meet proof of English proficiency.

Transcripts
High school transcript, translated into English
At a minimum, we require a copy of your high school transcript, translated into English. If you are in your senior year of high school, we will accept transcripts showing you are currently a high school senior. Once you graduate, we will need a copy of your complete high school transcript.
College or university transcripts, if applicable, translated in English
If you have attended a US college or university, please also submit your official transcripts.
Students who have completed college/university level courses outside the United States and want to transfer credits to Owens Community College must have their transcripts evaluated by an accredited evaluation agency. For a list of accredited evaluation service providers, see https://www.naces.org/members.
Owens will review credits upon receipt of all documents from the Academic Credential Service, and conduct the transcript evaluation
Transfer of foreign credits may not be guaranteed.
Deferred Payment Plan
The Deferred Payment Plan (DPP) offers eligible students the opportunity to defer payment of tuition and fees over a four-month period for fall and spring semesters and a three-month period for the summer semester.
Please note that certain fees are not covered by government scholarships. Review your scholarship regulations for guidelines.
