Chris Carr
Word of mouth can have a lot of power and influence on our lives. For Chris Carr, this year’s Outstanding MRI graduate, hearing about the Radiologic Technology program at Owens from a co-worker at an auto factory inspired him to explore a new opportunity. The Whitmer graduate learned more about the programs Owens offered, especially within MRI. It brought Carr closer to his own personal experience from tearing his ACL and receiving an MRI. He knew he could relate to future patients.
During the pandemic, most of Carr’s classes were online and his instructors made sure it was a seamless transition, adding “the teachers in this program definitely made getting through much easier and made me more successful.”
After graduation, Carr will continue working at the University of Michigan as an MRI technologist.
