Taylor Edwards
Seeing others care for a loved one can inspire people in many different ways. For Taylor Edwards, this year’s Outstanding Diagnostic Medical Sonography graduate, watching nurses and physicians care for her brother with Cystic Fibrosis inspired her to get into the medical field. Edwards, a Whitmer graduate, saw how much the healthcare workers cared for her brother and she now pushes herself to do her best with imaging and patient care.
“In this area, the ultrasound program at Owens is competitive and forced me to be the best I can be,” said Edwards, adding her instructors also held her to a high standard.
After graduation, Edwards will pursue a career in her field and aspires to obtain a bachelor’s degree and student teach.
