Owens Community College has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1976. Owens is accredited to award more than 100 associated degrees and certificates in areas of business, information, public service, health and STEM fields.

Be advised that these institutions may require the student to exercise any appeal procedures at the College prior to accepting a complaint. In 2013, Owens’ accreditation was reaffirmed by the Commission through 2019-20.

Out-of-state students who are seeking a professional license program through online courses at Owens should first contact their home state licensing agency. Ohio license requirements may not apply in those states. NC-SARA, which regulates interstate online education, does not cover license programs.
