Mark Wasylyshyn

A lifelong resident of Wood County, Mark Wasylyshyn has served as Sheriff of Wood County, Ohio since January 2005. Sheriff Wasylyshyn graduated from Rossford High School in 1979, Hillsdale College in 1983 and the Owens Community College Police Academy in 1988. He is a member of several academic advisory committees at Owens. In addition, the Sheriff serves on the board of directors of the National Sheriff’s Association, and chairs the Private Security/Crime Prevention committee. He also is on the Executive Board of Directors of the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association. Sheriff Wasylyshyn participates in many Wood County organizations, including Perrysburg Rotary and the Chambers of Commerce of Bowling Green and Perrysburg. He is a lifelong member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Rossford. Sheriff Wasylyshyn and his wife are the proud parents of twins, and live on a farm in Webster Township.
