Owens Community College offers many services to help its students succeed. This year’s outstanding graduate in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging program, Ashley Durham, credits those services with her success.
The Mason Consolidated Schools graduate chose to pursue her education at Owens for many reasons including the one-on-one time with her instructors and the small class sizes. “Owens offers many student options such as tutoring, computer labs, finance services, counseling services, academic services, veteran services, career services and many more that have helped me on my path to success,” Durham said.
As she chose her future career, Durham knew she wanted to help others and make a difference in people’s lives. “I think being able to see inside the human body, in such great detail, is truly amazing,” she said.
Durham is leaving a legacy at Owens and is a mentor for future graduates of the MRI program.
Following commencement, Durham will pursue a job that will challenge her and allow for future growth and advancement.
