Megan Kerr

Professor, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Political Science


Megan Kerr started teaching political science courses, on a full-time basis, at Owens Community College in August 2010. Ms. Kerr graduated, with a bachelor of arts degree in political science, from Northern Illinois University in May 2002. She also received a master of arts degree in political science from Northern Illinois University in December 2004. Ms. Kerr also completed her Ph.D. coursework in political science at Northern Illinois University from August 2004-May 2008. Her primary concentration was political philosophy/American political thought, while her secondary concentration was international relations. She has also presented academic papers at the Midwest Political Science Association annual meeting. At Owens Community College, Ms. Kerr teaches sections of “American Government,” “State and Local Government,” “Introduction to Comparative Politics,” and “Contemporary Global Issues.” She also participates in the Honors Program activities and has served as a faculty advisor for the Owens chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
