The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) offers transfer programs exploring the diversity of people, cultures and relationships in a changing environment.
Many of the classes in the department are part of the core curriculum in many programs at Owens Community College. Whether students are in a career and technical program or are planning to transfer to a four-year institution, almost everyone will take a class or two in Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Students who are interested in academic fields of anthropology, economics, geography, political science, psychology, or sociology, should explore the opportunities to complete an Associate of Arts with a Social and Behavioral Science specific concentration from Owens. View our Academic Programs page for more information.
