Oregon Road Film Series


The Oregon Road Film Series (ORFS) will show two films during the fall and spring semesters and hold one film challenge. Discussion sessions led by College faculty will follow the showing.

The Owens Library will promote books with similar themes during the month the film is shown.

Spring 2026 Film Showings

Documentary Film Showing: Disability Downloaded (2023)
Feburary 4 | 12-2 p.m. | CH 100 & Livestream (Only the discussion will be livestreamed.): TBA

Join us for a powerful and insightful film that explores disability etiquette using best practices.

A live discussion with the film maker, Dawn Bentley, and participants in the film, will follow the film; the discussion will begin around 1p p.m. Jodi Gore, Instructor of Social Work, will lead the online discussion.

Spring 2026 Film Challenge

Film Challenge
Date: February 27-March 1; kick off: February 27 in CH 100 

Back by popular demand…the Oregon Road (ORFS) Film Challenge! The ORFS Film Challenge gives participating teams a 54 hour period in which to create a short (3-8 minutes) film with a specific theme. The filming for the fall semester FREE challenge will be February 27 at noon until 8p on March 1.

The official rules are TBA.

Rules for promotion are TBA

Please join us for the kickoff meeting on February 27 in CH 100 at noon.  If you want to participate but don’t have a team, please come, and we will get you set up with one.
