Blake J. Renner, Ed.D., is the Vice President, Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at Owens Community College. Dr. Renner provides senior leadership for all student support services, including admissions, advising, student life, student financial services, financial aid, registrar, athletics, community services, Title IX, and counseling services, and the Strategic Marketing and Communications office.

In his career, Dr. Renner has focused his efforts on eliminating barriers and creating equitable learning environments that enable students to realize their academic potential.

Prior to coming to Owens, Dr. Renner worked at Franklin University where he served in multiple roles, most recently as the Dean of Students, with the primary responsibilities of student affairs enrollment management, policy and procedure development, student retention efforts and equity efforts for the University. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Malone University, a master’s degree in Counseling from West Virginia University, a master’s degree in Secondary Education from West Virginia University and a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership Studies from West Virginia University.
