Early IT

Taking Information Technology to the next level

Early IT program

Owens is proud to partner with the University of Cincinnati to bring the Early IT program to Northwest Ohio.

By participating in the Early IT program, students may earn one year of college credit by completing Early IT courses at a partnering high school or career center.

Transition to College Success

Students at participating high schools and career centers may complete one year of a CIS degree program in high school. They will gain direct admission to Owens and the University of Cincinnati upon graduation.

Upon completing the program, students can transfer to Owens to complete their associate degree, and then transfer to the University of Cincinnati and remain at Owens to complete their bachelor’s and master’s degree in IT.

What to expect in Early IT

  • Automatic admission to Owens and UC with guaranteed credits transferability
  • Financial aid opportunities with Owens and UC
  • Tuition savings by earning credits in high school at no cost to the student
  • 20-month paid work experience with an average pay of $45,000 during the IT bachelor’s degree program!
